More background on A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER – THE LOST VERSION:

In the early 80s, Doris Wishman once again teamed up with her longtime cinematographer, C. Davis Smith, to produce a horror film entitled A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER.

The film was supposedly finished, but after a fire at the film lab, Doris said that most of the film had been destroyed, and was determined to make it again.

This time, however, it had a different story, and starred Samantha Fox of adult film fame. This movie was then distributed as A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER.

In 1999, C.Davis Smith came across a pair of 3/4" videotapes that had the original version on it. Doris denied that this version existed, so Smith decided to release it at the Chiller Theater Expo in NJ where he had been a guest. Without a proper release, though, it languished at Smith's home, until a box of VHS copies of the original "lost" version were discovered in a closet.

There is over 75% different footage in this original "lost" version, making it an amazing companion to the one that was officially released all those years ago.

A collector’s classic by any measure, this film is a must for fans who want to see the movie the way Doris Wishman originally intended.

Each A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER – THE LOST VERSION videocassette comes with a two-sided black and white insert, detailing the origin and re-release of this rare independent home video gem.
